The Zeekr 009 has gained a new front-wheel drive (FWD) variant that sets a benchmark for efficiency in the luxury electric MPV segment, achieving up to 604 kilometres of range on the WLTP cycle – the longest in the 009 lineup.
The efficiency gains come from a carefully engineered single-motor front-wheel drive configuration that consumes just 21.4kWh per 100 kilometres, yet the 009 FWD retains every premium feature that has made the model popular with Australian families seeking a no-compromise electric people mover.
From the Nappa leather-accented seven-seat interior with walk-through aisle to the 30-speaker Yamaha sound system, the FWD variant offers the same level of luxury and technology as its all-wheel drive sibling. Second-row passengers still enjoy captain's chairs with ventilation, memory, and massage functions, while the iconic Eames-inspired lounge chair mode remains a signature feature.
The extended range advantage – 22 kilometres more than the AWD model – means families can travel further between charging stops without sacrificing the spaciousness, comfort, or advanced technology that defines the 009 experience. The 116kWh battery pack can add 160 kilometres of range in just 10 minutes of DC fast charging, or recharge from 10-80% in 30 minutes (205kW DC).

The single-motor setup produces 250kW of power and 373Nm
of torque, maintaining refined driving dynamics with 0-100km/h acceleration in 7.9
seconds and a top speed of 210km/h. The front-wheel drive configuration optimises
efficiency without compromising the smooth, comfortable ride quality expected in a
premium MPV.
Technology remains comprehensive across the range. Dual Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chipsets power the vehicle's systems, including a 15.05-inch central touchscreen, dual 10.25-inch displays, and a 17-inch rear entertainment screen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard, along with over-the-air software updates.
The 009 FWD maintains Zeekr's 720-degree protection system with single die-cast aluminium rear-end construction, seven airbags, and the full Zeekr AD suite featuring over 20 driver assistance features. Family-friendly conveniences include three-zone climate control with PM2.5 filtration, an 8.6-litre refrigerator with heating and cooling capabilities, and specialized modes for various scenarios including Child, Pet, and Camp settings.
Boot space remains generous at 574 litres with all seats in use, expanding to 2,979 litres with the third row folded – providing ample room for family adventures without frequent charging interruptions thanks to the extended range.
