2023 September 29, Shanghai, China. Geely Holding Group’s electric mobility technology brand ZEEKR signed agreements with partners in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Bahrain to expand EV sales in the important markets.
ZEEKR has reached four cooperations with AW Rostamani Holdings from the United Arab Emirates, Wallan Trading Company from Saudi Arabia, Blue Lake Motors from Qatar and Y.K. Almoayyed & Sons from Bahrain.
ZEEKR will offer the ZEEKR 001 shooting-brake and ZEEKR X sport-utility vehicle models in these Middle Eastern countries. ZEEKR will start delivering vehicles in the first quarter of 2024. Both ZEEKR models are based on pure electric Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA). They can meet global regulatory requirements and can perform well in high-temperature scenarios.
ZEEKR Vice President Mr. Chen Yu shared: “Customer demand for premium vehicles with new technologies is strong in the Middle East. All ZEEKR models are built on SEA architecture and developed for the global market. The cooperations we enter today mark a solid milestone for ZEEKR in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Bahrain markets. In the future, ZEEKR will work closely with partners and improve the local sales network, offering a more immersive experience to users.”
ZEEKR previously announced the plan to sell cars in Sweden, Netherlands, Israel, Kazakhstan and Germany.
